All the info is on the picture.I just wanted to sketch Lydia's back hair, but I liked the pose so much I decided to clean it up and finish the picture.

Thank you!
It's inspired by a combination of mutations I got in the game. The mane itself it's just a part of my vision of Lightly Furred mutation.

Nope. But if you try to without permission - you may regret it.

Everything consensual! Don't want to be on her bad side, I like myself without additional holes...

Fluffy, and stylish at the same time. In-game, does it have a tangible effect such as offering more warmth and encumbrance?

It's been a long time since I played CDDA. As I remember fur gives a lot of warmth and a little armor. As a result, Lydia no longer was getting as many light wounds as before but summer became a challenge. Often I had to choose between armor and avoiding overheating. As a result, Lydia usually used just a kevlar-lined t-shirt and pants but still, it was too warm. Winter and frozen labs were significantly easy. Also sleeping was more comfortable for some reason.

I imagine she would fall asleep somewhat like a cat; comfortable in any location/position. The benefits of the floof.

Is there a backstory of how the mutation happened?

Yes, but it's mostly a set of drafts. I don't have anything solid to tell.

In the story I'm working on there is a worldwide epidemic of mutations. It's practically apocalypse with mutated monsters roaming the streets and uninfected humans along with rare sentient mutants trying to keep living.

Okie dokie. I just know it's quite a chore to translate something into another language once you've already had to write it the first time.
