How do you accomplish this? I mean, method/medium (since all DA gives me is "Digital Art/ Drawings & Paintings / Illustrations / Conceptual"

At some point there was nothing, at a later point there was this image. What tools got you there?

I use DAZ Studio for my pose references. I start with a rough drawing hashing out where I want to put things, then a more detailed referenced drawing, then flat color, then shading. I periodically photo-bash things into the painting like rock textures or bits of landscape, and continue painting over them. I'll have maybe a dozen refs open on my second monitor at a given moment, usually faces and hands, lighting, and effects like blood.

Frightening and yet captivating. It would appear from here that this traveler may or may not have been a traveler of Set and being judged for his sins led to him ripping off his own face. I see sphinx is unmarred and unbloodied but very intense in her delivery of a deep message. Beautifully crafted. Well done.

The wings are fantastic! It took me a few seconds to understand the high butt-short tail of the lynx, then I found it to be a super neat touch.

There seems to be some subtle dark values issue that might be all invisible on the screen you're working with: Some of the darkest values in the stone steps are more intense than the darkest values in the characters' and foreground. It's quickly remedied with a slightly lighter value brushed over those areas in lighten mode though. ; )

Thanks for letting me know I've had issues with my screen brightness before.

I never pictured her as a tabby, but I like it!

Went with lynx and vulture instead of lion and eagle. I wanted to figure out a way to give her that tufted-ear look, but it didn't really jive with the rest of the design aesthetic.
