" Yo, Sphinx. What has 4 legs, a tail, wings and is horny for my meat?
That's right, it is you, you bitch. "
But what kind of meat?

This is a visual representation of the feeling you get when you have to start (and finish) an English essay in a single class period.

Is he writing his will? He looks like he might be writing his will. That, or all the things which are NOT the answer to the riddle of the sphinx.

I, being of sound mind and sound body and faced with imminent and likely fatal om-nom-nomming hereby bequeath the members of my adventuring party with all my worldly possessions, to be divided according to whomever benefits the most from whatever item. I also hereby leave the following warning to those who would follow in my footsteps:
DO NOT TRY TO TAKE ON THE SPHINX ALONE.
YOU ARE NOT THAT SMART.
STICK WITH THE PARTY.
THEY HAVE POINTY SWORDS AND FLASHY SPELLS WHICH CAN SAVE YOU WHEN SHOULD YOU ANSWER THE RIDDLE WRONG.
Also, the three answers I gave were:
1) A cute little bunny tap dancing on a table
2) A she-dragon in heat
3) My mother-in-law
P.S.
DO NOT GIVE ANYTHING TO MY MOTHER-IN-LAW!

For once, Lem doesn't have someone else with him to fight the baddy while he's taking notes from an ancient artifact. The expression is priceless. The book is a good deal.

He doesn't seem very surprised by the aggressive-looking sphinx. More than slighty upset, certainly. I loved the way his face tells a whole story almost by itself. I thank you for the peek.

I really love how the sphinx is this big block of golden color, but the wings connect her to the halfling's red costume elements, and the blue-green eyes connect her up to his blue eyes. It's really vibrant!

I have to wonder, is Lem (the halfling) worried because she's hungry, or horny?...

I love the perspective, and the facial expressions are spot on! The composition is super too, with the whole peice frames by her wings (she looks awesome by the way!). the little dude looks like he's doing as he's told...!
great stuff

wowww! is soo different from your classic pieces, and so cool at same time! the distorted viewpoint, btw, gives a really delightful drama taste to the coloured circus of shapes and suggestions this picture has..and it makes me intrigued of whats happening..what the guy s writing? what place is that? and the sphynx-style creature above him?
I guess that when an illustration makes the viewer wondering about the background story, it ,means the illustration reached his most ambitious goal, to really be evocative and to really tell a story, or better to represnt a particular momentum, the one who (thanks to all his elements armony) brings the viewer inside the world u r showing.
ok my enlgish is so bad , I know that. But I really wanted to say some good things to u, coz this pics deserves good things congrats my friend!
