Description
Several months ago I've written a sort of fairytale, which wasn't "fairy" at all.)) The whole story is based on traditional Russian tales, where a traditionally handsome prince (with help of a kind werewolf, who's also traditional for such fairytales)) is usually supposed to defeat traditionally evil villains (Koschey The Immortal, for example), steal traditionally magic golden apples from a traditionally weird garden, save a traditionally beautiful princess in order to (TRADITIONALLY!) marry her, etc., etc., etc.....My tale is VERY different from a usual one. The prince is extremely stupid, the villains are too smart, the kind werewolf is more of a scientist, then of a werewolf, and the princess...

She's the elder princess of Underworld.
I guess you understand, that she's not... TRADITIONAL.)))
I've been asked long time ago to portray her, so - finally, here she is. The scariest princess Orlandina.))
The sad thing, that the whole (un)fairytale is written in Russian (fulltext avaliable here ), and I'm really not sure if it would ever get translated at least into English... Anyway, hope you like the idea.)))

I'm saddened that I can't speak Russian :< I like the basic concept a lot though, it reminds me slightly of a series of books called Dealing with Dragons about a very self sufficient princess who runs away to live with dragons because she hates society.

I'm mostly afraid of translating this text into English because of its traditional tunes: there are very few people outside Russia who would understand the sarcasm of handsome Koschey The Immortal or steampunk Baba Yaga.)))

in one part I noticed you mentioned Terry Pratchett and Испытание Предназначением(meaning sometning 
Is that by any chance his book 'Good omens'?

"Испытание Предназначением" means "Test by Destiny", which is more alike A. Sapkowski prose.)) I quoted Pratchett's "Witches Abroad", the particular lines about fairy tales and the hold that they have over people. ))

It really is similar, but there's another sense in this very case.))
"Good Omens" in Russian would be "Добрые Предназначения" - the latter word has dozens of meanings.)))
