Description Okay - took BatBoy to McDonalds and got him a happy meal...
Just kidding, LOL.
I started adding some sculpey to the body and limbs to flesh out a few forms following lord Mesa's art. In one shot you can see why I twist the wires as they form a grip for the clay as opposed to just a plain straight wire. You can even wrap this wire with another thinner wire if you want even more grip. At this stage you can still move him around posewise untill you're happy. I can slide the head off at anytime to get to any areas it may be blocking. I learned that trick from Wayne The Dayne. If you don't know who he is look him up on google. He sells some crazy long and detailed sculpt videos and the best hand made tools money can buy. More to come soon.

Excellent!
Do you use brass piping/ telescoping pipes so that you can slide his head on and off? If so where do you buy yours from and what sizes do you use? Or is there an easier way than using that?

I didn't use telescoping brass piping for this sculpt but have used it on a few others in the gallery. You can get the brass piping from Pearl Paint (NYC) and I usually use the 1/4 inch square hollow tubing and the size that slides over that for most figures I sculpt. Never use plastic tubing if you are baking your clay or using a heat gun.
Thanks.
