Pairing: Anti Neah Walker X Allen Walker
I'm against a yaoi pairing.....this is SO going to be my most viewed 'devination'......

WOWOWOH THERE TIGER! Don't get pissed off just yet! I have my reasons to rather hate the pairing...Sorry, but, not everyone who likes yaoi will love this.

Anyway, let's get to the point before I as always start getting out of topic.

So, reasons as to why I hate this:

First, alright, this is in no way a legit reason for calling this couple illogical....but it IS for calling it terrible.
It has 'the Yullen syndrome'
Almost every picture/fanart I see of it, or fanfiction for that matter, is associated with smut OR something hinting it, HECK, even in that panel in the manga where both of them are visible it STILL looks like Neah was 'admiring' his 'nephew'.
AND it almost never goes past that, it's basically what the fangirls wanted Neah to do to Allen at their first face-to-face meeting. No deeper look into the pair, no view that includes taking off the fangirl contact lens and looking at it with at the very least a slightly critical eye. Which, if you've known me long enough, you know bothers me a lot if in a vast amount(don't bother asking mommy what that means, I'll tell you, "a large amount/of great quantity").

Why Yullen syndrome? Because that's Yullen at its basic level. VERY few actually take their time and think about Allen and Kanda being a good pair before finally deciding to ship it.

I liked both Neallen AND Yullen, but, it was because of the same reasons, I DID think that at SOME point they would make sense, but after going through facts a few times, I actually realised how incredibly un-shippable they were, and thus, I now hate them(....not that there aren't worse pairings in fandom, I mean, I'd take those two over Lavita, Lenavi, MiraKrow/Kroranda, Cross X Anita, Loulen, and Lucky anyday....THAT DIDN'T COUNT AS GOING OUT OF TOPIC I- oh wait)

Second, neither of them seem to like each other

Allen never showed any familiar attraction towards Neah...Though, by the looks of those expressions he gave whenever he saw Neah, I'm guessing his feelings towards the elder are a mix of confussion, fear....and MAYBE a bit of happiness because he discovered he had some sort of connection with Mana even after his adoptive father's death or something, but, that's all. There aren't any other feelings he ever showed directed to said uncle, and I know I sound a bit hypocritical because I myself ship people who don't have any feelings for each other or have never showed(i. e. Rhodero, LenaFou), but the difference is that those pairings never showed a sign of disliking each other, or at the very least, not too oftenly. Allen on the other hand doesn't seem too fond of his uncle, and the fact that it may have been HIM that Mana had loved all along must make him almost as green as he would probably be if he didn't have his Innocence and Jeryy forgot about it.

And now why would Neah not be fond of his 'precious' host either?

Simple, to be precise.

If Neah even liked Allen he wouldn't have been so alright with taking over his body and/or probably permanently erasing him.The painful, to you at least, truth.

I don't care if you like this pair, you can't disprove me on that. NO one would want to hurt the other if he didn't have anything against xir.

And before you shove that 'past!Allen' theory down my throat, I know, 'Allen'(mind if I just call him Leo? You know, because L is before M[Mana] which is before N[Neah] in the alphabet?) was willing to sacrifice himself for Neah. TOTALLY means they've loved each other, right?

Wrong. Dead on even. Alright, they(Cross, Neah, Leo and/or Mana) MAY not have known of the 'side effects' that having an Innocence and a Noah memory inside you may cause, but, if Neah actually liked Leo, he would have looked at least a tad sorry for what had happened back then, hell, even when he did it it almost looked like he thought Leo deserved it(Dunno, maybe they weren't exactly friends.....). As for Leo's side....Well, he obviously DID do a great sacrifice for Neah, but it could have been because of a lot of things, like, he thought his life wasn't worth it anymore, he would do anything for an apperant 'friend', OR he DID love Neah.

But, they probably knew about Allen losing his memories, because, Neah was surprised only by the fact that Allen got younger, not because he didn't remember his past experiences, heck, he even went asking Timcanpy about what Allen, the new one, was like. And even if Leo DID have romantic feels for Neah, he's dead and gone, permanently erased, and if he does come back in some way, Hoshino is just being a softy, because, knowing DGM, we're only gonna get Leo's history with flashbacks and no more, this series isn't a fairytale.

And third, if Allen and Neah somehow separate(which I do believe will happen because he promised Cross, of all people that he would someday return), it is going to take both of them some time to trust each other, or like for that matter. And after they do....Allen will only see Neah as some connection to his past self and a bit of a role model and insparation/admirable person, and for Neah there are two options:
1. If Allen is like his past self, he would just try to tolerate him like he did back then.
2. If Allen is different from what he was, Neah would enjoy his company and be happy about not being with the old one.

If something DOES spark between them, then.....honestly, for obvious reasons, I could not see that as logical or likely, to be more precise.(Before you say something in the lines of 'Gay pairings won't ever exist in DGM!', first, look at Alma and Kanda, second, yamering about which character has what sexuality that HAS NOT been pointed out to excuse your pairing[for example, because you obviously don't understand what I mean, I make Allena be in my headcanon, and I excuse the reason as to why Lenalee didn't pick Fou with saying 'Lenalee is straight IMHC.'] just proves how incapable of discussing and proving your points you are, and it makes the pairing you think should be canon look quite bad, so, spare your keyboard, go wash your hands instead, knowing how much I type a day, and I'm freakin' nerd, your palms are probably making you look like Salad Fingers' long lost sibling right now.)

Other than that, I love both characters, heck, they're even of my favourites. And if you are wondering what kind of pairing I'd recommend or ship with Neah and/or Allen in it:
Recommend:
- Neah: with Cross, Lenalee, Komui, Jasdevi, Mana(in one way or another), and/or Tyki.....maybe Sheril if you had enough imagination;
- Allen: with Lavi, Lenalee, Miranda, Krowry and/or Chomesuke;
Ship:
-Neah: with 'Adam'(hey, seems kinda sexy, hehe), Cross, maybe Lulubell, Tyki, Mana(in both ways), Komui, Reever, Tiedoll....some more but not much;
-Allen: everyone except Lou fa, Rhode, Fou and Kanda;

My OTPs? I got more than you can count....whic probably doesn't much, but, I'll just say it in a way all can understand: A LOT. BUT, my OTP for Allen is Allena(CrossXAllen is close behind), and my OTP, and THE OTP(as in, my all-time favourite pairing) is Cross X Neah( Pfffft, so much damn ways to describe my feelings towards this that I don't know which to choose! <3).

I sencerely hope I did not sound too offensive, or you understood that I was just joking in most of the insults, and that you find my reasons good, and, better yet, agree with me.
