I think this a good start to become one. You will see what kind of people are they, how close it all goes with your interests and views on such matter. You can also discuss the way, they potray period/ unit they actually do. If all that will work for you- have fun

A few years ago I was looking for a reenactor group to commemorate the 1759 battle of the Plains of Abraham in Quebec for the 400th anniversary of the founding of the city. Sadly, it was canceled when the organizers received threats of violence from a separatist group called the Québécois Network of Resistance.
