Description
This is an update of an older deviation of mine. I wasn't sure how well this update would be received, so I decided to submit a new deviation.The color scheme is more european compared to the original I guess. There are still things wrong with it, but I like the overall atmosphere much better. And I think the lighting is much more consistent in this version.

I have had the original version of this image in my favorites since I joined DeviantART, completely unaware of this update. First of all, looking at the original version, I couldn't have imagined you could possibly find a way to improve it, and BAM you injected it with steroids and now I can see the difference is like night and day. I love seeing how people are able to improve their skills over time, and this is such a great example of that.
I think it's fantastic that you really took that first critique to heart; the lighting is now virtually flawless. The new mountain is absolutely GLORIOUS, and I also think it was a great choice to make that castle just a bit bigger. At first I was a little disappointed that you replaced the upper left clouds (the intensity of the original ones were fantastic), but I admit the softness of the new ones match the consistency of this new look and feel much better.
I also never realized you had so many leaves in the wind in the original version, but adding that glow in the middle really helped them to pop out. I am really glad that you didn't mess with Link or the horse (aside from brightening it a bit and adding the greenish light...very nicely done btw); I am still in awe of the way you managed to stitch him together and plop him on a horse in the first place; the work of pure genius in my opinion. On the other hand, I do think the wolf was probably the weakest thing in your original, and I am happy to see you decided to remove him altogether.
Overall, I think it's safe to say that you have accomplished the impossible...you have made something perfect even more perfecter.

Actually the wolf was really bothering me, too, because it didn't really have any purpose in this image; and the clouds, well I can see why people liked the bright highlights in the sky, but in my opinion they simply didn't fit in there. I think the piece "flows" much better now.

This is too gorgeous for words. Breathtaking ambiance and amazing attention to detail. Not much criticism I can think of at the moment.
But actually, would you mind if I used this image in a YouTube video of mine (credited, of course)? It's for an arrangement of the Song of Storms that I put together, and I thought the mood and atmosphere of this piece was perfect for it. If not, I completely understand.
