Description
forAfter defeating the Persian King Darius at the Battle of Issus in 333 BC, Alexander King of Macedon and his general confidant Hephaestion entered the tent of Stateira I, Sisygambis, Stateira II and Drypteis, the Queen, mother and daughters of the king. After entering the captives mistook Hephaestion for the king, but Alexander reassured them that Hephaeastion was "also Alexander". Stateira I died in childbirth two years later, Alexander married Stateira II, and Hephaestion her younger sister. Alexander came to regard Sisygambis as a mother.

A really excellent job with the layout of the pic- you could easily feel as though Alexander had just brushed back the tent hangings as he went in to inspect his prize...

Sorry about Stateira I's sad demise, but I love the whole idea here, taking lovely DiDs, and end up just keeping them. Reminds me of Mat Cauthon kidnapping the Daughter of the Nine Moons and then marrying her, but expanded.
