Description
Made with deviantART muroHeh, I thought Muro was useless
As mew searches on, far away in deep space, it crosses the path of Jirachi as it travels in its rather radical orbit, doomed to wander a thousand years before ever returning to the blue planet... or something like that
Just moused in like, a few hours or something:3
I had just watched a lot of Universe stuff on youtube, man I feel so... humbled and tingly inside after all that information. I began to wonder whether it's even worth it to draw at all, considering it is highly improbable that we will survive the next 1,000 years without having developed interstellar traveling. :I
Mew and Jirachi belong to Nintendo

Buen trabajo.

Well, a great artist can make masterpieces out of even the crappiest art programs
But what bearing would the development of interstellar space travel have on your drawings? Now, if they invented robot artists, that would be a real threat-- it'd cut down on the meager earnings we're already scraping up

Only a sentient being with a soul can "create," that is what I believe. If artificial intelligence is developed and they can create art, then it wouldn't be judged by skill, because that would be absurd. Instead it would be judged only by the choices of style, composition, impact, etc. and overall awe of the piece. Would you not say that can create art if they were themselves created by an artist, that is, a different kind of artist than you are used to considering: an mechanical engineering artist.
I have always believed that art shouldn't be something you aspire to do for self gain, or for something as common as money, it should instead be a projection of the self while trying to overcome the limitations of what the body can express with acquired skills and the materials available.
Anyway yah dude lol, doodles are fun, they're even more fun when you're like wait a minute, what if I put this here, and ooooo let's add some more pink here omg look it's mew xD

Regardless of the motivations behind one's artwork, a man's gotta eat... I just think it's kind of sad that there are so many skilled artists out there who have to sell their work at festivals for dirt-cheap prices just to bring home the daily bread. I've been very much tempted by the prospect of an artistic career and the pursuit of professional training, but it's a tough world out there for people who go down that path. Of course, that just applies to people who rely solely on art for their livelihoods-- if there are other sources of income, then I'd totally agree with what you say, art is the soul manifest.
I love how you automatically switched from deep philosophical to casual everyday syntax

You are definitely right there man, man's gotta eat. Sadly, though, that could affect their work either positively, or negatively. They say necessity is the mother of creation, so the artist could be pushed to strive higher to get a better pay for his work, but you and I both know it's really REALLY hard to work on an empty stomach, it's just painful o: Although, now that I think about it, that could possibly inspire the artist to reflect his or her angst and pain on their work.
Yes it IS a tough world for artists these days, to get a nice job doing what you like is nearly IMPOSSIBLE since there are always others with your talent and plenty with higher skill level. It really takes luck, and knowing the right people. Also, you may not even do what you really wanna do, since what's catching on now isn't detailed work, but depictions that are brimming and expressive, so you don't have to think much about to get an idea of what they represent. I'm talking about marketing for companies and such. Still there are far more paths open for an artist up in the states, there's interior/exterior design, graphic design, computer modeling, architecture, advertisement, etc. etc. etc. Here I don't seem any paths I myself can follow, and thus I have taken the decision to work towards getting a teaching degree of sorts to teach English here, just so I have a source of income to pay for what I really wanna do(I'm not even sure what that is hahahaha). I may end up being able to study plastic arts in mexico city, or who knows, maybe I'll go for plastic surgery
Yah I do that sometimes xDDD, often in between text, too cX I guess that's just how I am, even in real life. Some of my friends have no idea what I'm talking about when I turn on the philosophical side though, that kinda pisses me off because if I use that 'linguo', it is because it's the only way I can express whatever the hell it is I'm thinking '<'

TWO pokemans
Really I added mew first but the orange asteroid was first(without Jirachi inside) and I was wondering just what the hell would mew cross paths with that wasn't an anatomical challenge

Haha yah it's made with muro, so nothing fancy just a few layers and a bit of opacity lowering xD I gotta say it feels REALLY limiting BUT necessity is the mother of creation, that and the scatter brush is cool :3
