Description
Hello one and all!My apologies for the abrupt and unexpected disappearance. It was not intentional, I had nearly finished the chapter I'm posting today, but unfortunately a few things cropped up - work got busy, my laptop had to go in for repairs, and my faithful playstation that has served me well for more than a decade died, and thus far efforts to replace it have been unsuccessful. All this together has meant that when I got my laptop back I'd completely lost my thread, and I was unable to play the game to get inspiration. So I stalled.
However this last week I've begun to get back into the swing of things, and I finally finished this chapter. I have some idea of where I want the next one to go, and after the first section I don't intend to change all that much - so I should be able to post chapters more frequently. Although I have said that before...
Anyway, the majority of this chapter is a set-up for what follows, so I'm afraid there's a lot of description and scene-setting and it's really not that interesting. Apologies for that, I hope you'll find the second half (which is already written) more interesting. With luck I'll have the next chapter finished this week too
Until next time!

Really happy to see this series return! I loved the part with Jay and Yangus talking on top of the tower, that was a very touching moment.

Thanks! It was inspired by a line of dialogue from the game (Yangus' initial comment about feeling guilty for his past when looking at the Goddess Statue), and I thought it'd be a good opportunity to explore a little bit of the religion in the game. The Church is clearly very much inspired by Christianity, so naturally forgiveness and atonement are key themes, and I thought that summed up Yangus and PC's relationship very well.
I was a little worried because previous versions came off a little preachy, looking like a religious tract shoe-horned into the story, so I'm glad you liked it
Sorry for the very late response!
