Hello everyone.This is a typographic poster that I made using quark only ( class assignment ). I was heavily inspired by Lizzitsky and decided to do something reminiscent of his style ( or at least try ).
Its a poster celebrating " Artistic Rebelliousness " and it reads as so..

Design is my life
Passion is my Marc
Type is my weapon
You've just been killed
Meet you maker
All opposition is indeed useless
Resistance is futile
Blessing to all of mankind.
hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did creating it.

I know I have already commented, but just been looking at it again, it's just so clean and crisp, I really like it a lot, I'm very much inspired to creat some work like this, I have just never had the inspiration until now.

I do this type of stuff in a lot of my wallpapers.. but you did this with pure words.. well~done ^^

first of all great work, the composition is absoutely brilliant and congratulations on the daily dev 
how ever the only thing bothering me in this piece is the vertical extention of the P. I don't think it's necessary and because none of the other letters are distorted I think its a bit distracting. is there a reason that im not seeing that you chose to do that?
i love your use of red here also, very affective without being distracting. nice poster

In response, the vertical extender was used as a mean of " connection ". I wanted the letter " i " ... in .. " hi "... to mate with another object. with the exception of the " A " in artist, everything pretty much touches for increased eye flow.

no problem.....3D art is so interesting. I think all artists eventually would love their work to use 3D space or to move...... naturally I'm very interested in both. what some advice to a beginner like myself? what are some programs and tutorials I should consider?.

For those just starting out with 3D... I recommend playing with some of the free programs out there just to get a feel for it. Over at the ZBrush forums they have a posting that started in 2003 with a listing of more free programs than you'll know what to do with.
See the posting here: [link] ...I would recommend skipping to the last 10 pages or so since some of the links in the beginning no longer work but it's an excellent resource.
For professional programs, I highly recommend 3DSMax: [link] Modo: [link] Maya: [link] and ZBrush: [link]
I believe all of the professional programs have trial versions which you can try out for free.
That should be more than enough to get you started. If you have any other questions... don't hesitate to ask.
