Description
Shot this in IR on the shore of Lake Ontario in Kingston. The trees are planted by the shore in memorial to someone who has died.Resubmitted with a larger image to allow for bigger print sizes.

i like this coloured version more than the black and white.... the blue has a very nice contrast with the white and makes the whole thing soothing and warm. the black and white is a bit cold for my liking.

Hmm. Maybe. But I was cropping out the road on the bottom (didn't like it), and wanted to keep the aspect ratio. Plus, I think its a nice negative space effect.

Yeah, I do too, but I would have liked to see a little more "freedom"... you know... It's never good when the primary emphasiz of the photo is leaning up against the border

I think the color version is much more stunning than the other version you have posted. They are both simply amazing but something about the color really makes it stand out among others of its kind. This is a beautiful image. You should be very proud of this one.

I'm so jealous of this. I have the d70 and hoya r72, and never have such good images!!! They always turn out to grainy.
And how did you manage to keep a blue sky??

Just shot a lot of images in manual and this one came out ok. Be sure to shoot in very bright sunlight. Oh, and remember to cover the eyepiece, because stray light can ruin a shot sometimes.
