Nice idea with the wood filled vector. How do you get involved in all these websites? Do you have to contact them? I guess I'm just not active with all the technical groups/peeps. You guys are all so hep to design mags and names of obscure people from different countries and stuff. I'm not dissing it at all of course...but it just strikes me as surprising how much free time you spend studying design. I wish I could study techniques and stuff...I can't seem to do anything but "test" without "study".

it easy nick, we don't sleep... or eat... or live. we're robots; bio-engineered to refine and proclaim the newest hottest design uve laid ur pretty eyeballs on.
in reality ive got a job, a uh... "well maintained" girlfriend, freelance side jobs, family, and school. lately i get maybe one night a week to spend on experimental stuff. i read much much more than i do actual design experimenting though... usually when i want to create something "new", ill start by combining two other styles i'm feelin that night... i put it in the blender, puree for 2 hours and see what comes out. but even watching tv im trying to get ideas... mtv, vh1, and comedy central both have hot graphics right now. hope that explains it.

Yah I get ideas from everyday life and television. Cartoon Network inspires me a lot. MK12 did a lot of MTV stuff...vh1 has great stuff too...I always try and say something about it but I don't physically know anyone that is into design enough that would know what I'm talking about. My design life is purely a fictional universe that I'm a part of strictly through the internet and computers. I don't think I've ever talked to anyone about being an artist other than my brother. For some reason that's not the type of person I am I suppose. I'd rather play a game of pool and have a beer than talk about design after a full day of work. I'm one of those people that will probably be poor all their life because I spend all the money I make trying to deal with how I make it.
Maybe if I ever make it west I'll have some design people I can get along with. As of right now everyone I meet that wants to talk to me about design is either flamboyantly homosexual (literally) or just plain uninteresting in all ways. Relativity between me and another artist I have come to find is quite the hard thing to conjure up in real life. I can't walk around with it on my chest and have people leave me comments. Hell...even if I could I don't know if that would help me out. Haha...maybe I'm not a social designer. It's all in my head. Scary.

Holy crap, it's good to see you back again. Your work never ceases to amaze me. I love the addition of real textures here, for the fence (?) And of course your birds are all in there too, but I see you haven't added in a spec of pink that always annoys me.
