I never thought I would do a Tutorial of anything,but here it is.Its far from complete,but I wanted to show you How i do sprites.BTW,If you dont have a scanner,you can always use a Digital tablet,pen or anything else to do the sketch...or just do it on MS Paint,whatever suits you best.
Hope u like it as much as I enjoyed doing it.If you have any questions,just ask ^^

i often do it like that, but not with my own Works, cauz' i haven't got a scanner q.p
So i ask deviants or some friends and give them credit..

An incredibly handy tutorial... I would've never thought of scanning a picture and working with it in Photoshop as such.

And like, are you using Photoshop, GIMP, or Paint Shop Pro,...

De nada! y si lo es,es mucho mas practico! Solo recuerda:la regla de oro es hacer el boceto en el papel lo mas pequeΓ±o posible (no es necesario q sea MUY pequeΓ±o...tamaΓ±o regular esta bien)

This is helpful and interesting, but I find it too... big, making it a little cumbersome to read as I scroll left and right. Thankfully I can adjust it well enough on my saved file of it...
Also, that font reminds me of football.

Not just what...3 days ago, me and Freakkime and some other people decided to make a pokemon video game
Pokemon Topaz.
With myself and Freakkime as the main...spriters, well Freakkime is the main one, im more for storyline...
But anyways, and then you go and post this tutorial on pokemon sprites XD

Nahhhh,most people just do it on MS Paint.
But I like to do them on paper first,then scan and then pixel over.

Yeah, I see that as an easier way, especially when hobos like me don't have a tablet to make the job easier

Hey, this is really awesome. It seems like it'd be a pain to make sprites. Iv'e tried them before..well no..sprite editing is what iv'e tried and goood GAWD.....I had no paitence for it xD this way looks easier, but the shading...looks like it'd give me trouble, getting it right. Maybe i'll actually try this one day when I have nothing to do

Same here.Doing the whole figure on regular Paint is a pain in the ass! This way is not easier,but the results are much better ^^

baby torkoal, evolved abomasnow?, evolved marowak (easy)
