He wanted me to sprite it for him and its also going into the custom dex on our site. I've been meaning to sprite it for a while so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone since someone asked me to do a tutorial for scratch sprites today >.<

Further tips not on the tutorial:
It's usually a good idea to sketch or draw your fakemon out before you attempt to sprite it, just so you have a better idea what you're going for.

If you want suggestions as to what program to use, I ALWAYS use the simple, basic MSPaint that generally comes with every computer.

(Regarding part 3) If you want to make the sprite look extra shiny, make 5 shades or more instead of the normal 4.

Don't be afraid to touch up anything you did in the previous stages as you go.

*Yes I know I spelt palette wrong, I'm too lazy to go back and fix it... >.< I'm sure there are other typos as well, please don't point them out, I don't really care, lol

This is the first tutorial I've ever done, so... I hope it helps in some way If anyone has any questions about spriting you'd like cleared up feel free to ask in a comment here.

EDIT: This tutorial is slightly outdated with the first step, as with the addition of Pokemon Black and White, the new sprite limit is now 96x96 instead of 80x80! Still, that doesn't mean you have to use all the space you're given!

I'm very, very late, but you can't make a sprite tutorial really. Only for certain styles

I'm glad you like it ^.^ and yes I know it is too much in the front, I simply make a sprite based on the picture either I or someone else draws of it and it was front in the picture so... that's how the sprite turned out too.

I'll probably make a new one at some point with a less front facing sprite, but I haven't really been in a spriting mood lately. If you wanted to see some of my other sprites I have them in my Fakemon and Celesdex folders (unless you already saw them!)

Thanks for the comment as well, its nice to know I didn't completely fail with my first tutorial X3

Sorry, but I have to agree with Mismagius1997. Not because he's also Dutch, but because he's right. The fakemon is front, and the shading is not correct. The light comes from the good side, but the sprite is front, the shading is made up from straight lines, and the fakemon is ugly, but that is the least important side of it.

I do not want to hurt your feelings, but if you want a good tutorial, the example must be good as well.

This was my first ever tutorial and was something of an impulsive thing to get two requests done at once. I'm sure I'll make a better one in the future when I have more time, I just wanted to get the basics across which I think the tutorial does just fine with. The fakemon turned out how the original maker wanted it, so that is satisfying enough for me. Sorry you don't like it and thanks for your opinion.

I know how hard it can be to make a tutorial. I'm sorry I went a bit hard with what I said, but I guess you'll understand

Not a very good tutorial If i where you I just first learn how to scratch better. 'Cause this sprite is way to front.

A lot of my other sprites are much better, I wanted to do a simple sprite for the tutorial, as most people do, and I wouldn't have done a tutorial if it hadn't been requested from me because people think I do pretty good sprites.

Sorry it didn't help you.
