Description
There are quite a few technical difficulties trying to paint in acrylic when it is sunny and 38 degrees!A gnarled and twisted olive tree, likely to be over 200 years old forms the foreground of this work, painted in situ in August 2000.
Through the trees at the bottom of the work can be seen part of Sorrento, then the Bay of Naples across to the
distinctive volcanic cone of Vesuvio.

Hello Cristina - there are slight texture changes with temperature - but my real problem was simply nearly expiring with heat exhaustion to finish it!

Acrylics behave different in cold weather.
