DAY TWO OF BELGARIAD WEEK.
THEME: Futuristic.

This has some 'splaining to do.

So, futuristic could either mean the future of the present (2010) or the future on the time period in the Belgariad universe. I chose the latter.

Yes, I sort of cheated. You'll get over it. I was not about to draw everyone in modern day attire, or with robots, etc.

Time periods are a little iffy in the Belgariad universe. Every race of people is drawn from a different era in World History and from different cultures therein.
And so, I roughly translated "present" in the Belgariad to mean "middle ages" ish. And so future in this drawing is 1600-1700 ish in our world.

And because Pol is sometimes called "witch woman" by some people, I couldn't get the image out of my head of some morons trying to burn her.
Of course, there is no way that the people are actually going to be able to burn her. And we'll certainly not go into how they managed to get her tied to that stake.
But nevertheless Belgarath is amused and Garion (who is like 10 for the sake of me getting to draw cute little Garion) wonders if they should help.
