One question, how do you 'color in the lines'? - Last part of this tutorial - Β I'm not really smart at that haha.

Create a new layer over your lineart layer and click 'Clipping mask'
Then you can color in that layer but it will only affect the lines in the lineart layer. Wooh magic!

You can edit the line's color by either changing the line's colors in vector layer or slecting the lines using select tool then coloring them. Sorry for my bad english, I'm not a native speaker >.<

i still really do not understand the highlighting of hair part. Did you switch colours when you are doing it?

estelaa In reply to blizzarto [2013-10-07 13:39:44 +0000 UTC]
Yes, I think I went for a more reddish tone, but it is not definitely a light colour. The luminosity layer mode does that on its own. Just set the layer to luminosity and switch colours until you find one that pleases you, then you can proceed to make the highlights!

my first try [link] , its not that good but its a start,
how do you get the brush to go 27.0? and how do you make a back ground transparent?
π: 0 β©: 1
estelaa In reply to MidnightsBloom [2013-07-14 20:17:24 +0000 UTC]
You said it yourself! I would recommend using smaller brushes to get thinner and more detailed lines.
You can make a trasparent background by saving the file in png format with photoshop c:
