Here we have another RN Commando, this time Sub-Lieutenant Thomas. I have always had a fascination with smoking pipes, which is surprising because I don't smoke and have no plans ever to. Just not for me. But I like drawing people smoking pipes a lot in my work, and WW2 is full of images of plucky and determined soldiers, sailors and airmen puffing away on pipes. You even had members of the SOE who were issued pipes with space for hiding film negatives and messages.Hope you all enjoy!
