Daughter of Dugong and Colugo, Darkling is a kindhearted but anxious cat who worries deeply for those under her charge. Despite being elected to her position as leader of the ruins clowder near unanimously, she often frets that she isn’t suited for the role. She was born in the forest in the final days of StormClan, before being brought to the ruins by her fathers. The memory of those early days are foggy in her head, but her experience caring for her elders has taught her all too well that old wounds don’t fade away so easily. Determined to do right by the cats who trust her, she takes it upon herself to uncover the truth about the recent murders haunting the ruins and forests alike.
