A jester knight huh? That's right up my alley. Well drawn too all in all.Β

Well I come once again from
Once again the way you use the colors to make textures is really neat and a great strong point to your style. The idea of a Jester Knight is a also a really interesting idea.
I've seen them used as assassins and spies but never as a knight. The linework feeding into the shading is once again really well done and I really appreciate how the smiling faces are smiling so hard it becomes a bit unnerving.Β
You also have great attention to detail with the armor showing the bolts (I admit I'm not familiar enough to know the real terminology for the little screw things that hold armor together.)
Had you considered going brighter to an almost white for the metal for highlights to give it a polished sheen? it might make it seem even more metallic. It might also be a good idea to either emphasize the folds more or make it look smoother where the chainmail comes out from under the plate. When I first looked at it, it seemed as if the chain was cut unevenly rather than just not sitting flat.Β
The red that look like tears on the mask might have a little more impact and look more purposeful if you'd used the shade of red to match the blood on the blades as well, but that might just be me pushing towards a different goal than you had in mind when you were drawing.Β
Though I understand and do something very similar with avoiding drawing backgrounds when I just want to show off the character it may help to incorporate some kind of background. It's a bit of advice I've been receiving and started trying to incorporate myself, and they are right it helps the picture.
In the end I really do love this picture, especially how the linework really helps to show the shading even before you go in and vary the colors.

Thanks again! As for the white, I used to do that actually. I'm just now experimenting a little a bit with the black and light shades that I see people use on armors and still trying to figure out which would look better.Β

You're welcome. Fair enough it's always nice to take the chance to try new things.

I love the balance of cheer and menace in this one. She looks like the kind of character who could kill you cheerfully, and there's a calm, poised, yet manic and dangerous feel to her. She seems like the type who could calmly walk toward you in a terrifying, inexorable approach, then suddenly rush with flailing, wild, lanky movements to finish you off.

Also, kudos for putting her in a proper breastplate, rather than a fanservicey but suicidal breast-flaunting boobplate. Nobody needs their armor to be effectively a spear perpetually aimed at their sternum.

No problem, to err is human. Unless you believe in a pantheon full of deities who continuously cause feuds and legends by acting like two-year-olds and/or not being able to keep it in their pants, in which case, to err is divine.

Wow... I think that this picture is really cool! The character reminds me of Dimentio, from Paper Mario, if you know who I am talking about. I used to LOVE that game! I pretty much still do too! I actually thought it WAS Dimentio at first to be honest! But either way, the picture is still really cool! I love seeing digital pictures like this! It makes me think that I want to be a digital artist one day (still along with my traditional style) and one day i might be one. I also like the colors! I like how you did the different shades of purple, yellow, and black in the character, to make them look more detailed. And this character looks kinda scary too! But thats okay, because I like scary characters! You can check my gallery and see a whole bunch of scariness! Most of the time now I dont even know what to draw though! I sit there thinking for like... EVER to finally figure out what im going to draw! But back to your picture. In my opinion, everything about the picture is very cool, and you should keep up this great work!

And like i said, I do traditional art, and LOVE to see some nice digital art like this one! Neat, and cool!Β

Well i hope you don't mind me saying all this, but all in all,

Good job!

Thanks. As much as I enjoy fan service, I very much enjoy seeing people attempt to bash right through each other's metal.Β

You're welcome. I'm OK with a certain amount of fanservice if it makes sense in context, but I've come to resent the tendency for people to shoehorn it in at the expense of plausibility, common sense, and keeping the character in-character. Sure, the intelligent action girl is going to have a gratuitous and completely pointless cleavage window in mid-combat, all the better to catch shrapnel and other assorted sharp things with. Suuuuuure.

Very cool drawing. It reminds me a bit of the enemies from the Devil May Cry series, mixed with a little bit of the character Night from Sega.

Thanks, I did actually use Night as a bit of reference for the outfit.

This is my favorite of the Knights. I've personally always had a weakness for the lanky characters, something about them resonates with me.

Perfect colour archetypes, purple for mystery and performance(with a touch of royalty), with the resonating gold for optimism and positivity(being the traditional characteristics of jesters. As well as a bit of royalty(kinda like a court jester)), with the universal colours of white and black.Β

Love it all.
