And here, for the first piece of May, we've got Uriel in her black armor. I decided to try my other style of shading. I've used this before, and then went back to my simpler shading style. Now I'm back to this again.Related content

The armor design is a mix of simplistic but has some creative twists to it. I suggest making the armored plates a different shape and add some jagged objects to it. I don’t know, I’m not a professional when it comes to medieval armor. Overall, I love the design. The armor actually reminds me of the Berserker from Berserk, which is . To give her that amazing warrior look, add some scars, and give her messy hair (or amateur cut), and additional bents/rust in the armor will really pop out/emphasizes the character’s experience.
The shading is perfect, that’s something I can’t try. I love the lighting on the baton blade, If only it had some blood. Maybe for something for a little extra-extra, you can give her a personal emblem (a logo that can represent character, give her meaning to her actions, helps your character stand out).
Overall, I love the drawing , I just think there should be an additional piece that has some grit to it, make her kickass.
In my mind, her purple hair kind of makes her look like a female Kars from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (good show).

I really like the way she's got one foot perched on the rock, with her face gazing into the distance!
It seems like she's gazing upon something- her victory, perhaps? You've got really great anatomy
for her body, here, too! The only problem I have is that her head looks a bit too... long? A little bit
of shortening/compressing would do her wonders! Also, her chin seems a little big, but that may
just be her facial features/your style. If not though, I guess you could shave off a little on the
bottom? Still, I just can't stop gushing over her pose! It's so natural and relaxed, with an air of
determination! Another thing I really like about this piece is her armor- the plates look logically
placed and accurate, and it seems to have been built for functionality! It's also pretty refreshing to
see a hero-like figure with a mace. It's usually some sort of magical sword, so good on you for
thinking outside of the box!

Thanks! My character does own a sword, since it is a versatile weapon. However, she is a character who prefers to hit pretty hard, so she'd prefer something like maces, hammers, or even axes.

Looks great BUT.
Don't take this the wrong way, but for her to be a warrior, she needs to have the facial expressions of a warrior and the pose of a warrior. Because from the facial expression right now, I see it as just a regular person in a suit of armor.
What I would suggest to you is to make her look more fierce by angling those eyebrows and frowning the mouth a little and making the pupils smaller. Exaggerate her pose more and Give her hair more wind.
Ask yourself something like: "Is this someone I'd want to mess with? Is this someone who could kill me with one blow?"
I say breathe life into the character and give it more meaning.
