Description
Last year, Pixar lost a member of its creative team. While it is tragic, it is comforting to know that he will live on in his work and the memories of those who knew him.I know that voice-over wasn't the only service that Joe Ranft provided for Pixar, but I thought it would be the best visual way to show some of what he's done. But just so that his other accomplisments aren't forgotten; he worked on the story of "A Bug's Life," was story supervisor on "Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2," was a story artist on "Monsters, Inc.," and was co-director of "Cars," among many other things. To read the rest, click here .
I know he also voiced the Peterbilt in "Cars," but I thought putting him in there might make it to cluttered. Wheezy looks a lot better than the last time I sketched him. I gave Joe Ranft a "Cars" print t-shirt because that was the movie they dedicated to him. And I'm really, really happy with how this turned out.
All characters seen here are (c) Pixar and brilliantly voiced by Joe Ranft.
Rest in peace, Joe Ranft. You made a lot of people smile.

Yeah, he went to high school with him and they were friends since. Me and my sister met him once or twice, and he was really sweet. He gave us a tour of Pixar. We found out while we were reading Science magazine, and my grandma was the first found out. She was like 'Jay, (Thats my dads name) didn't you go to high school with a man named Joe Ranft?' And my dad was like 'Yeah, why?' And I looked at the magazine and I was like 'Cause it says here that he just died.' And my dad asked why, and we told him that he was in a car accident, and I printed out the police report, and he cried when he read the whole thing.
Did you know that Pixar was 12,000 square feet?

They went to high school together? Oh wow... this must have been hard for him.
You're so lucky to have met him! I wish I had gotten the chance... Was he a really great guy?
He gave you a tour? Ooh, I'm so jealous! That must have been so cool!
...No, I didn't know that! Wow, that's really big... Thanks for the info! I love learning random Pixar trivia.

Yeah, they were really good friends. Joe, my uncle and my dad were good friends. HE was really sweet and he did the voice of Heimlich the caterpillar from A Bugs Life. My sister is 8 and she wanted to hear him. It was funny . The place is HE-UGE!

I was talking about him to my friend Tori, and she was like, "Hey, ummm.....isn't that guy dead? I think i heard that on the news." At first, i didn't believe her, but when i looked online and found out it was true, i was soooo mad!!!! Joe was always like my FAVORITE Pixar member!!!! he was so awesome!!!
and again, THIS PICTURE IS SO AWESOME!!!! I love how you added all those characters....I especially love Heimlich!!! I love them ALL!!!
