Description Res Harrison was a concieted strange man who always wore a gold and onyx ring. He was convinced that the gossip and anger over the casting of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady was nonsense, because the cinema goers were there to see him, and they wouldn't care if he was being supported by Audrey Hepburn or Julie Andrews.
Anyways, he was a relatively tallented man, and was costar to two of my favorite celebrities, Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady (who is the reason to like this film) and Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra. He played Caesar very well, and bought Elizabeth a gold, emerald, and diamond pin made to resemble the favorite flowers of Liz (and Audrey also) Lily of the Valley. Rumor has it that Liz nagged him about his stingyness until he bought it for her. Diamonds are a girls best friend, apparently.

I'm quite the Rex Harrison--and quite the fan of this rather impressive portrait. Excellent work!

Sir Reginald Harrison... one of my favorite actos growing up. Imagine my shock and dismay when I was older and heard that he was dead. X3 Too bad, I would've loved to meet him, even though I have heard that what you said about him being conceited and vain to be true. I would have liked to ask how he felt having to "speak on key" since he couldn't sing and how much he liked the animals in Dr. Doolittle. I thought he seemed strange, though, in Anna and the King. (Is that the appropriate title? It has been years since I've last seen it.) And naturally, I'll always cherish the movie My Fair Lady, for rather simple reasons: because it was one of the more elaborate movies I've seen of the time; because eight grade drama class had such a blast watching it and going over and over different parts of it; because I loved that song Rex sang about women (despite the fact that I am also a woman); and because I love that dress Hepburn wore. X3 'Nuff said.
Whoo, my late night rambles when I've had a long and tiring day amuse me to no end. I wonder if you will kick me now...

(Yeah, I know this post is ages old, sorry.) Anna And The King Of Siam was indeed a strange role but he had some amusing moments (or maybe I just thought they seemed amusing).

Have you considered drawing Harrison from The Ghost and Mrs. Muir? Wonderful film. Co-star Gene Tierney would make a great subject, too.

I want to see that movie because it stars a young Natalie Wood too!

Yes, and the great George Sanders (who won an Oscar for his performance in the classic All About Eve) in a choice role, as well. Both films are on DVD, btw.

You drew this in 2002? That means you were 14 then?? That's crazy. Can you imagine how talented you will be when you are 30? You will surely go far with your gift.
