I'm sure the tut would be fine if I could read it clearly... That site you put it on kinda puts things out of order for me. D: Could you do that 'all-in-one-image' thing that most other devart tutorialists do?
I know it's a lot to ask, but I really would like to see this tut whole and unscrambled.

Really nice tuto !
I want to ask you a little question^^
What is the brush did you use for this cg?
In fact I want to have this smooth rendering (for exemple, the character's back or the ground) in my works and I want to know how you did it.

No problem ^^
I always use the same set of brushes, you could go to my first tutorial [link] then look for instruction no 3 and 6. I explained how to set the 2 main brushes that I always used.
let me know if you still have any other question

Probably the most helpful artist on my watch.
Thank you so much, my clouds always end up as cheap as dollar store merchandise.
This'll help me lots!
And the illustration's as gorgeous and crisp as always. : )

oh wow, you responded to my two word comment, i'm sorry for wasting your time! m(_ _)m
but i do have a question, "how do you color shadows?" is it based on reflective light mixing in with something, or is it based on the pigment of the surface? i'm a bit new to color rendering, and don't have much illustration skills. got any advice?

ethe In reply to jozisars [2008-07-07 07:03:57 +0000 UTC]
In coloring the shadow; for example in this image, I already put a purple color base on the characters, and then I added the tones and highlight on top of it, example red and yellow, but I didn't put those tones to where the shadow's gonna be (so certain areas just stay purple). Then I picked a darker tones for the shadow from the current color tones (dark red and orange yellow), but I mixed it with the color base that's already there (purple), so the colors tones always have a purple-ish feel. That's how I "unified" my color palette.
