Yep, I didn't either, and you are absolutely right, I can't tell you how many facts I've learned about animals while doing research for these series of drawings.

This is spectacular! Each aspect of the reconstructed figure looks perfect. The muscle groups are especially clear. You also give a wonderful impression of speed in the top image, without distorting the anatomy or coat, itself. May I ask where you go to for anatomy references? I have a hard time finding muscle photos or illustrations for animals that aren't already in Ellenberger or Goldfinger. This is a sweet image!

Thank you so very much! I appreciate your kind comments. For reference I mostly used the same books you already mentioned (in my opinion those two books are a must!). Other books that have come in handy are:
• Animal "The Difinitive Visual Guide to The World's Wildlife"
by the Smithsonian Institute
• The Artists Guide To Animal Anatomy
by Gottfried Bammes
• How To Draw Animals
by Jack Hamm
• Animal Drawing: Anatomy and Action for Artists
by Charles R. Knight
• Animals: Real and Imagined
by Terryl Whitlatch
Other than that I used a lot of image references that I have picked in the internet. As a matter of fact, DA is a very good place to get references from.
If you have Netflix, you can find a good number of animal documentaries (on their streaming service) which are a gold mine for references.
That's pretty much it; those are all the places where I get my references from.

Wow, thanks for taking the time to list all those references. You've given me a bunch of great ideas! I haven't read any of the books on the list, so I'll be looking them up. Netflix is great for documentaries. For some reason, I've only been using youTube to look at cat films, but I should see what Netflix has available. I sure appreciate your help!

Let me start by apologizing for not getting back to you sooner, I have been so darn busy with school work and family issues that I barely have time to sleep. I will try to do better next time.
You are so right about that, DA is such a huge site, and there's so much amazing art being posted in here that it would be very hard for people to get adequate recognition. When I started posting my work here in DA a few years ago, I was very disappointed with the low level of feedback and/or critique offered by the community at large. But now that I have been here for a few years I think I understand why people don't offer much support or even critique.
First of all, I think most people just don't have the time to opine on so many pieces, I find myself in that situation all the time. I wish I could opine and offer constructive criticism on so many pieces, but I just simply don't have that much time to do that. And second, I think that people get as much attention as they are willing to put back into the community. And to be honest with you, I am not much of a talker nor do I have one of those personalities that clicks with just about every one, so I think that affects the way people perceive my art, and the amount of traffic that I get though my page. But I am OK with that, there are a few wonderful people such as yourself that really make up for the lack of attention, and I am tremendously thankful for the constant support that you have so kindly shown me.

This is certainly a 'give and take' community indeed, when it comes to attention. I try to give feedback whenever I can, because I want to, and because it comes from my very heart. And in between I fav and run, or I would have no time left to create myself. I cannot say how much I appreciate your genuine conversation, taking time and effort to write so warm and nice, it is very rare in here!! I have met some few wonderful people here that I like to talk to and have genuine contact with. I do like to show kindness and support, and sometimes we find chemistry that clicks, among friends. That is something I'm very grateful for. I truly love this site...and it's the only online activity I have the need for, or time, for that matter!! It's all about the art, for me!!
Today when I logged in after a very tough/long day at work, I was stunned to notice I received my very first DD in here today, that surely brings a whole new world of new people (watchers) to my profile!! I hope and pray you will receive one too,,(I'm SURE you will)your work needs to be seen and appreciated SO, SO much!!
