Digital painting and illustrations I made for my class, Creature Construction and Anatomy.When it came time to do my Bovine project, I decided to go with the Spanish Fighting Bull, or Toro de Casta as they are known in Spain.
I love these beautiful animals, I admire their strength, beauty and dignity. But I definitely hate what some nasty people do to them. Hopefully the barbaric practice of bull fighting will end soon.

Wonderful work, love it. I love these guys and dream of being able to raise one and study it's true behavior naturally, so far looking at videos the seems very docile and smart making me feel confident about being able to train them so as to have a "dance" with them much like the one seem in the bullfights but with no blood or harm. Best case scenario it works, worse case I give a nice easy life to a bull I will need to watch out for.

I agree with you, I really like these guys, I love their strength and how proud they are. They are beautiful animals indeed.
I think you have a wonderful idea there; it definitely would be interesting to know how they would behave if they were let lose in their natural habitat, to see if they're behavior is any different. Would they be more docile or more violent? It's a good question!

and yes at one time in my life (one and only) I was attenting the horrid scenery, once in Spain, outside of Barcelona along time ago!! I cannot believe this cultural torture..going on and on!! I hated every minute and the grim scenery never left my brain..how can some treat animals like this, and find amusement in a horror show!! Most of all things in this life..I load animal cruelty the very most!!!

This baby took me quite a while to finish, but I really like the way it turned out.
To me Spanish bulls are such beautiful animals, they seem so proud and noble. I was born and raised in South America, and this disgusting past time is unfortunately a very old and entrenched part of my culture. Fortunately I was raised by good people that love animals, and was never exposed to that inhumane horror show. I am sorry, you had to witness such disgusting display of cruelty. I just hope that newer generations of my fellow Spaniards and Hispanic people finally do away with this deplorable practice.
