Description
This is the second and final version of the Goblin.I reworked the eyes, the nose and many other facial features. I thought the original version didn't look quite the part, so I decided to age him a lot more.
The skin color texture was poly-painted in ZB by hand (no texture sampling used).
Rendered in ZB using BPR.
Composited and color corrected in Photoshop.
Original low-rez mesh modeled in Maya 2010: 3,592 polys
Sculpted, textured, polypainted and rendered in ZBrush 4: 58.5 million polys

What do you use to paint the texture on the skin? Any tutorials you would recommend?

I use polypaint in ZBrush to paint the skin maps. The only tutorial I know of that's any good is the one by Alex Alvarez in the Gnomon workshop. You will find it under the Free Tutorials tab. I hear there's some tutorials out there that are much better, but I haven't been able to find them. Have you tried ZBrush Central? People in there constantly are psoting amazing skin textured images, and many times they post their techniques. You should give it a try!

Excellent! His face kinda reminds me of an old Cherokee indian or something. And he totally pulls off the goblin look too! LOVE IT!

I know it's crazy! I never thought I would get a DD, so needless to say I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my homepage.
Man, its' nice to hear from you again, we missed you! One day I went to your page to see what you had going and was saddened to see that you were gone. I am glad your back, man! Can't wait to see what you have in store for us fans and friends.

It takes some time to get used to it's interface and how things work, but once you get it, it's like magic.

I am really bad on skin sculpt, always try to get good and sharp wrinkle as you got on laugh line, do you do do that btw, pinch?

Yes on the laugh lines I do use the pinch brush, But I also mask the area, and then inflate or pull the wrinkle to get the correct shape. Hope it helps!
