Description

The gossip of courtesans was the farthest thing from Katya's mind as she finished her daily inspections and returned to her quarters. Her aide de camp, Captain Chernova, had just informed her that the Empress had decided to hold an impromptu royal soiree later in the evening and she wanted to bathe and make sure her evening dress was in order. Katya would be ditching her very soldierly breeches and boots for something much more elegant, as was typical for these types of balls. She sighed at Anna's impetuosity as she towelled off and began to dress, picking a corset set she knew to be Anna's favorite and then searching through her wardrobe for her best formal uniform. Little did she know that she was being led on.

Katya was no fan of Rasputina. She was power mad and conniving enough to make Talleyrand look like a saint. But even Colonel Denisova had to admit that the crazy nun understood the intricacies of realpolitik better than anyone else in the realm. That did not, however, mean that the head of the Tsarina's household guard wasn't doing her best to keep an eye on the elusive nun. What she did not know was that Rasputina also had an eye on her.

"Lace this up for me, would you, Irina?" Katya said over her shoulder to her aide.

"Of course, colonel," Irina Chernova replied with a smile as Katya leaned over the side of the divan and braced herself. "You always look so good in that corset, Ekatarina Denisova. I'm sure the Empress will enjoy seeing it again," she added with a laugh.

Katya chuckled as she felt Irina's boot press into the small of her back. An instant later she felt like her entire abdomen was being squeezed in a vise as the captain tugged the corset laces taut and then tied them. "I never know whether to cashier you for being insolent of for being a kiss-ass," the colonel gasped as she adjusted to having her waist compressed down to the size of pencil.

"You know I'm both, colonel," Irina said with a smile as she helped Katya to stand and walked her over in front of the divan. Her expression then turned pained as she wrapped an arm around Katya's waist and then reached into her tunic for something.
