Description
Donna and I as our characters from her new Valkyrie comic. In it we are the crew of an Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle assigned to do a covert mission. Donna, call-sign "Valkyrie," is the pilot, and I am "Wildfire," the Weapons System Officer (WSO) who sits in the back seat and provides snarky commentary while she flies the plane. Oh, and I also guide the bombs in and stuff.

I always liked the WSO job because it seemed so much more important than a RIO. You know, the one in the back of a Tomcat and just read the radar screen so that Maverick could shoot the missiles himself? That was apparently accurate.
All the good stories I hear about women pilots tend to be the ones that fly the A-10A Warthog, though. Not as sexy, bit more rugged...
