Description
An illustration of a Teutonic brother knight done for a historical magazine. It was such a pleasure to work on a subject I privately find so interesting.Related content

Never was there a more perfect mix of splendid chivalry and total villainy as the German Order.

Appears late medieval by the helmet on the knight with the visor as well as the joined plates in the armor.

As a bearded man with a healthy appreciation for this time period, I highly approve.

And thousands of years later the death star won't have a railing either. When will we learn.

Digital art... what a concept. I like this quite a lot. So many titillating secrets about the Knights Templar, the Teutonic Knights and the wicked fraternal organisations of Christendom. Thanks for posting this!

Well, in the end it is a high medieval/ late medieval Plated Armor. The Brothren of the Orders often got their Armores made by order own armorers. But I guess some of the so called Half-Brethren (temporary members of the Teutonic Order) came with private purchased armors and weaponry.

What's really interesting is that they really DID wear that kind of footwear.

Dzieki! Mimo, że komizm niezamierzony, to fajnie, że kogoś rozbawiłem Będzie więcej historycznych obrazków w przyszłości.
