**Requires Full View**This was done at the request of an Ai buddy of mine, but I also did this for all the people who have been curious as to how I go about creating detailed backgrounds in flash. This treatment is light, but it's enough to get you started if you're already somewhat familiar with the Flash interface. I hope this helps you some, I had fun making my first tutorial to share with all of you!

IΒ΄d like to know how you do those bushes and foliages... I want to do something like flowers and bushes in silhouettes for my homepage, but canΒ΄t find any decent vector tut for this. (all they do is to show how to make colourful versions of bitmap photos

oh thank you!! i'm definately going to use this for my project next semester! i remember your animation, Birds of a Feather!! it was one of the first deviations i ever favourited!! i still think of it often ^_^ it was so cute and that's why i chose to 'attempt' a flash movie for next semester

is it possible to do all of this in Illustrator?
or more in a sense where it would make sense to do it in illustrator? then import it to Flash?

I'm almost possitive you could prep all of this in illustrator and then create a vector export for flash. I'm not familiar with illustrator myself, but my teacher had made mention of files being inter-compatible between the two programs. I would recommend searching for a tutorial that might explain the process.

This is a really beautifully done tutorial. The artwork is just lovely, and the techniques you use look very helpful. I will most definitely be using this as a reference to background work in Flash.

It was butterbotpropier or something like that. . .it's a very strange font that I picked up at 1001fonts.com. Love it! And thankyou for the congrats, I very much appreciate it!

f5 will make a new frame, f6 will insert a keyframe, and f7 will insert an empty keyframe.
