I went back and revisited the knots, with a bit more intent this time, lol.A double-bubble with curl instead of spherical, bubbles instead of hemispheres, and an extra cylinder xform (same xaos/weights as bubble # 2.)
Constructed and rendered in Chaotica 1.5.8.

I keep trying to do specific things and then I get sidetracked because something looks neat, lol. It's more fun for me when I don't know exactly what I'm doing- I didn't expect to get these either but once I figured out what made them it was easier to go back.
