Additionally, you may like a website known as Hypotheticus Zoo. It's basically the Habitable Zone section of SE except with longer descriptions and more planets, with some weirder stuff (one planet has Tiggers, and then another sapient insects, and another has radiation-eating orbs, one has, er, protists, another has fat lemon-shaped land-worm, etc.). Yeah, it is. Once you join, just go to the bottom, where it says General Discussion or something similar, open up the subforum bar, and go to Member Introductions or something, make a new topic, introduce yourself, and ask questions until you understand everything.
