Description
Ezri Dax was a joined Trill woman, born as Ezri Tigan on the world of New Sydney in the year 2354. Ezri started her Starfleet career as an assistant counselor aboard the USS Destiny, up until she was joined with Dax. Ezri was later assigned to Deep Space 9.

By 2380, Ezri was promoted to Lieutenant Commander and was transferred to the USS Aventine, assigned to the duties of second officer. After the ship's captain and executive officer were killed while defending the Acamar System from the Borg, Ezri assumed command of the USS Aventine as the highest ranking surviving officer. A week later, Starfleet Command field-promoted Ezri to the rank of captain, granting her permanent command of the Vesta class Starship.
