Little Wallpaper for the Turian Hierax class Shuttlecraft.

It was a concept i developed a year ago, after i read the Mass Effect Comic "Redemption" in which we saw a turian styled shuttle piloted by the Drell Feron who helped Liara T'soni obtain the body of Commander Shepard.

At first i tryed out to make a 1:1 copy of the Shuttle we saw in the comic, but after more than one failure during modeling i decided to mix it with my own concept ideas.

The Hierax class Shuttle is an old but reliable little spaceship in the Turian Hierarchy. Originally made as a kind of civilian sports car which was very welcomed by Volus customers and the Turian youth people.

Thanks to the military natural of the Turians, the Hierax is very resistant, fast and agile. It has an own FTL drive which allows the vessel longer trips even without the use of an mass relay.

Today, the shuttlecraft is produced by two companies inside the Turian Hierarchy and the Volus Protectorat. The civilian version is made by Haliat Dockyards, a small company which is famous for its high quality products of armor, weapons and smaller crafts destined for the broad (richer) mass.

The military version of the Hierax is made by Armax Arsenal Laboratories, the main supplier of Elite Military Units of the Turian Navy.
In contrast to the civil version, the version of Armax has a more powerful element Zero core which, in addition to a reinforced drive, also powered barrier shields and 4 G.A.R.D.I.A.N. defense Laser.

The Hierax class is no warship by nature. The weapons on the military version are for defensive purposes only, like intercepting incoming asteroids or enemy missiles. The ship is used as mission scoutship, feeder plane or fast ship to ship transport.
