9 x 12" GraphiteWatercolor Paper (don't ask)
So I don't hate it.
That has to count for something.
I thought this would be quicker and easier than it was, but it wasn't deadly. It got a bit boring in certain parts, but overall I think I'd like to draw glass again... I'm annoyed that the white didn't come out white with the scan, but what can I do.
And man, graphite pencils are demon spawn sometimes, but had to use them here. I don't know if I could have done this in conte unless I would have gone way bigger in size.

And I don't know if this category is right either.

Well, I'm so glad about it!
There were over 150 pictures and I was already glad that mine came into the top 25
But then I was in the voing for the first place!
Wow
And now I have 105 votes and the other pictures has 79 and the competition is ending today.
the last day there were just 8 votes or so, so nothing more will happen there ^^

wow, this is really amazing. i dont know why you say "don't ask" about the watercolor paper... i think it lends a lovely texture to this drawing.

Haha yeah, I thought it would be fun with the texture but it turned out a bit too textured, and the paper started flaking off... yeah, safe to say that it was a learning experience haha.

I didn't look at the original photo. But like everybody else said, if I didn't see the sig at the bottom and full-view this, I'd thought it's a photo with a slightly distorted perspective - not at full view, though. So it could probably be the scanner's fault. Did you try auto-level-ing it in photoshop, though? Maybe the white part will be enhanced some (because some scanners darkens white parts when not correctly calibrated).
The starfish at the bottom of the glass made me giggle.

But yeah, photoshop is useful when a scanner is prone to eat up the colors and contrast - mine does that and it frustrated me a lot. You probably can simply use the (newly released) online version of it, though, if you want to. If not, then don't worry! Your work is magnificent as they are already!
