A new artwork inspired by Tron, this time it is about the main villan of the second movie, the ruler of the grid, CLU.

I don't know how this goes with you but my best ideas are born when I'm almost asleep. Then I have to get up to sketch what I have seen, because I'm afraid that I will forget it later. This process was the same with this picture too.

And now a little bit about the painting process:
In the past months I was learning a lot about perspective, I was practising it and then I just got this idea.
It's a picture about Clu with a recognizer that is flying over him. My brother was the model for the character. After I took the photo of him, I only had to draw over it, made a sketch of the background; the recognizer; the costume, and after these I could paint the picture.
For the reco I was using reference photos from the first and the second movie but the final construction is my design with some oroginal elements. The hardest part to paint was Clu's face. I was using references and tried to make it like his face, OMG I had to paint it 3 times before I get this version.

Everything is handmade except the windows on the two walls.

Made in Ps CS5 with Wacom Bamboo A5.
(I don't know exactly how many hours did the process take but a lot of time.)
