fun fact clu is actually the name of an old programming language which is where his name came from also nice job on the image and im not sure if you would or wouldnt consider uprising an anime

Excellent lighting especially on the face and suit. But I can't see his other hand, it kinda looks cut off. Love the head in the background. I love his expression too, makes him look all the more badass.

Y'know, for what it's worth, I never actually bought the concept of CLU being 100% evil. If he was guilty of anything, it was of attempting to perform the function for which he was created with an excess of zeal. It wasn't his fault that Flynn didn't really understand the meaning of the word 'perfection' to a computer program. At the end of the movie, at the very end, I thought he was as much a victim as anyone else, railing at his 'god' and demanding to be told what he did that was so wrong when all he had done was follow the fuction he had been given.
I think Flynn understood that too. That was why he wasn't able to fight him.

I totally agree. After I saw the movie the first time, I totally came to the conclusion that he's not evil, just has some serious issues he's not programmed to get over.

Rinzler is Tron in the same way that, to use another fandom, Darth Vader is Anakin Skywalker. CLU surpressed all the good in Tron and the result was a champion of evil and oppression.
It is a sad indictment of modern culture that a hero brainwashed into being evil is considered more interesting that a free hero.
