Truth be told, Heroes Convention messes me up for a bit, gives me a sense of artistic 'identity crisis'...being around so many of my favorite artists, seeing what I'd hope to achieve artistically causes my brain to think what it's doing is wrong. So for a couple weeks my mind causes me to question what works. However, it does bring with it new techniques, and ultimately a greater sense of my own work, which causes personal and artistic growth.

So, what does all that have to do with this image? I'm working on some various things for cool new stuff...with people...and POSSIBLE people! Vague enough for you? Some will be revealed soon enough, that's just the nature of the biz. But I was on that brush kick, yet ran into this and decided I was on the verge of leaving who I am. Which is why I wasn't such a fan of this piece. I mean, I should like it, but it's really not me...not completely. So I decided the reintroduction of brush was great...just needing to be paired with the more refined brush pen work as well. You'll see the better synthesis soon enough hopefully! ;D
