Ghosts of the Future, Issue 17 Page 16!WARNING: this page depicts graphic violence.
Page 1/2 for today-- this was a tough choice for me. I know the comic has a history (and reputation) of violence and taking no prisoners, but it's been a long time since we actually DID anything to a not-already-dead character, and I'm a lot more conscious of what I'm doing and the impact my stories can have. I wouldn't do this just for the hell of it; this will be a major turning point in Silver's arc, and I think it's the right thing to do.

Goodness... Nobody's going to be left unscathed by the end of this comic. Blaze has scars on her face, Silver's going to have scars on his hands... Everybody's going to be scarred physically or mentally by the end of this...even us fans.

That's true, but my sensibilities have changed a bit since the last time we shoed some blood... also I've become aware that some very young kids are reading GOTF, as well as parents reading it do their even younger children. Doesn't hurt to use a warning, to give them a heads-up that some pages might be more intense.

I broke my dominant hand when I was 11 or so, and I didn't get it set or have pain meds till a couple days later. I know what I just did to him, and that's why there's a mature content warning on it.
