We've tossed some ideas around, but the two comics' settings don't fit together very well; There's so many incredibly powerful folks in TMOM, The GOTF crew would get flattened almost by default.

Maybe in a one-off, where GotF Sonic and crew end up at Paradise.
The two groups talks about the situations they've been in (Like how both Sonics have lost their Friends and Family) and potentially see the other's experience to strengthen each other (At least have GotF Sonic help TMoM Sonic out with his emotional baggage right now.... if he survives his current predicament)Β

So.... I'm out of the loop, I don't know the full story. Does Sonic have some kind of PTSD from fighting Badniks? Or, rather, his ghost? I still don't even know how he died.... I'm waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy outta the loop.

Yeah, he has some form of severe trauma; not only from the decade or so of fighting he did with Eggman, but his and his friends' deaths at Eggman's hands were slow and painful. He dealt with it by focusing all his repressed anger on anything connected to Eggman's empire. Situations where he's cornered tend to also set him off, making him uncharacteristically violent and merciless.

Wow. Very dark, but I like it. A lot of portrayals of Sonic have him as the archetypal hero, with no flaws, and always maintaining a positive attitude - I prefer it when Sonic is actually given some character development. How does he deal with things? Does he repress things? What is he like, in his quieter moments, outside of his usual heroics? I love it. I'm really gonna have to go back through the entire story, once I have the time to do so. I need to see what made Sonic into the character we see in GOTF.
