You know I was rooting for them to become romantic in some ways but then I just remembered that Vennie is Silvers younger sister, so maybe she's just a year younger than him.... no. Scourges 'little girl' comment makes me think she's younger then that(it's either that or Scourge is calling her a little girl because he is super old due to him being a ghost) But no with those context clues I've realized it be better if they were just friends with some similarities, like being ghost and pretending to be something they aren't.

Here's my new theory for what happened back then:
Scourge, Fiona, and the Destructix head back to Moebius and subjugate the Suppression Squad and take over again. Scourge gets this voice in his head promising power. Fiona, who is more cautious thanks to previous experiences, tries to talk him out of it. Scourge doesn't listen, and it's there that Fiona realizes that he only cares about himself. She leaves him to the lonely throne. He's stubborn about it and eventually dies, but his spirit is now cursed to wander in the physical realm.
I'm actually laughing at him over feeling sympathy for him, even though I see similarities with him regarding my past self. That moment of his a few pages back with his master was another time when he thinks back to what a horrible situation his powerlust has gotten him and what he's lost. It's like that story involving Jules: we're seeing him as what he is behind that macho mask: a reckless, weak kid who doesn't really know how to handle power. Sure, realizing some of these faults is a step forward, but he's currently just whining about his situation - again, like a child!
Another thing I like about this part, besides the backstory reveal, is that we're also finding out more about Vennie. I can see her as the strange Middle Child who's tried to behave either like a normal person or has put on a mask of her own and pretends not to let any teasing get to her.

Yep. That's it. I'm dropping GOTF. I was invested, very invested in this entire story. Evan you know how to write well. And I enjoy it. But this is the end of the ride for me. Sorry but no one and I mean no one can make Scourge, a murderer, liar, abusive and narcissistic hellion, SYMPATHETIC.

I read archie's old world issues and i've seen how Scourge treats Fiona. I'm sure Ian had plans for her redemption because he heavily focused on her and made it a big deal to have her heel turn. I'm sure Ian had a plan for her and things coming full circle. Fiona would have realized sooner or later that a relationship with Scourge was a contradiction to EVERYTHING SHE HAS HATED. She's traumatized by being locked up and used. She had to have been considering Robotnik built a ROBOT out of her, so she was used by him, locked up, left alone.

Scourge is a controlling jerk who would love nothing more than keeping someone under lock and key under his heel to taunt the world with and say " oh look what I got that you don't haha " and wave her around like some trophy, using her only to hurt other people, just because he can. Everything that involves her being with him is just a completely and blatant slap against who she is as a character. Yes she's had sketchy beginnings, but who could blame her. She had to fend for herself. It makes no sense why after escaping one Diabolical tyrant ( Robotnik ) as a child, that she would turn around and date one (scourge) ??????

It's obvious Scourge only cared about himself over everyone else. When he threatened Fiona she winces in said issues involving her and him. Eventually karma was gonna smack her in the face so hard, she'd realize Scourge is looking out for number 1 in his book and that's himself, and would leave her high and dry or ditch her the minute he crossed the line and severely hurt or killed one of the Freedom Fighters. I have no doubt that Ian had those plans in mind even if he did clumsily execute them and left a bitter taste in my mouth for it. The hell turn did not make any sense unless added context was in it, like, I don't know, someone showing interaction of Fiona and Scourge before hand? Him sweet talking her into thinking he'll give her what she wants, except we don't see that? 

And here we are now, trying to have this abusive monster of a character being portrayed as sympathetic? Sorry but I don't buy it for a second, and I almost wanna throw up  at the thought that NOBODY remembers that Fiona was so much more of a character than arm candy dressed like a hussy for Scourge to drool over. 

Sorry but I won't continue to follow this comic considering you're implying that you possibly ship this abusive and dysfunctional relationship of these 2 characters, one of which who had so much potential, and the other, a carbon copy of a hero, just evil and lacking of any personality traits that actually make him interesting. 

I'm honestly disappointed, and thought you were better. 

Goodbye GOTF, it was a nice run up till now.
