Issue 5, Page 5.Those of you who guessed Knuckles/Sinbad get a gold ring.
You all thought Sonic was going to go bonkers, didn't you? Well, you thought wrong. The thing is, whenever he can help it, Sonic NEVER SHOWS HIS REAL EMOTIONS WHEN OTHERS ARE AROUND. At least when he's feeling sad or scared. If you don't believe me, I'd say how he acts in the games is enough proof. He never seems scared, but even the bravest folk get nervous when confronted by 50-foot-tall robots. He just covers it all up with false bravado.

That seems like a bit of a over-preaction,well I suppose there's always some idiot that asks.
Everything's perfect, Sinbad and Alibaba looking amazed at Silver's tale and Silver looking pretty darn cute there - There's something very endearing about Silver in this comic, you know that?
Sonic's trying to not get noticed, the poor chap... their faces, their voices, but it isn't them, that must really suck, big time.

I agree with you on the whole Sonic thing...
but people tend to misread it as "Sonic not having any emotions" and Archie tries to "fix that" by having Sonic tear up at every little thing that goes awry in the comics...

The thought bubble in the bottom-right corner is Sonic's right? Sonic seems to be feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment, I guess 140-so years of interacting with only Shadow (and more recently Silver) has caused his social skills to atrophy somewhat... he's forgotten how to wear his mask of courage and hide his true emotions...

You bring up an excellent point about Sonic showing his feelings...personally, I think that Sonic's grown a bit immune to 50 foot robots and whatnot, so that could just be his actual bravado talking...but I digress.

it's so sad... and you're right, I remember the diary of sonic in SA (you know, everytime you load the game you can read what happens in the diary) and he seems right all the time, but when amy was kidnapped he wrote in his diary that he didn't know what to do, and was so nervous...

YEY! Good part. I knew Sonic wasn't gonna go bonkers. He's always brave and tries to show lots of strength. But I notice that little tear in Sonic's eye in the last pannel. I suppose in a situation like this I would expect him to show some sign of emotion. Great part. I have the re-design for vennie done, BTW. I just need to get on my dad's PC and scan it and edit it. XDD.

yeah, and every time you see a cutscene, you can "read" a new part of the "diary" with things that the charas thinks but they don't say
is like the songs, knuckles never said something "good" to rouge in the game, but in his music theme he said that she's sexy...

I don't speak english, I'm from spain so I speak spanish, but I like to translate songs in english, you can learn more translating songs than studing XD well I understand english, but it's hard for me to write it (because of that I can't write fanfics in english v.v)

I think they mean by the "diary" that part where when you start playing as a character there's some scrolling text that like "Hi! I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog. Last night I fought a strange monster..." Remember that thingie?
