Issue 8, Page 10.Oh no, not What's-Her-name! (It's Vennie, guys, Remember it.)
EDIT: took the mature content warning off.
I love the Metal's POV effects. They make everything I draw instantly awesome. Speaking of Metal, I'm just gonna warn y'all now that I kinda suck at drawing him. His appearence it gonna change a lot as I get used to drawing him, I'm sure. The same thing happened with Shahra and Shadow. Though it's unlikely that Metal is gonna be black by the end of this comic... still, never say never.

Pfft, I'm sorry but that second pannel just turns the whole thing into narm. Metal just look really surprised to see halfbakedFC#472--I mean, Vennie! 
Also, the "splorch" bit. Goofy. Kinda undercuts the drama you're trying to create. The blood splatter alone would've sufficed.
As a little tip for avoiding the surprised look, you should try making Metal's eyebrows straight and angular, constantly frowning. Try to emphasise the sharp points, make him look menacing. He is a killer robot, after all. If that doesn't work for you, well, just keep trying till you find the right niche.
Not trying to put you down, just being completely honest.

I haven't quite figured out how I want to draw Metal yet. He'll get better in time. And I apologize for my irrational love of cheesy sound effects... I was told to take out the "splorch", and I didn't listen. I am foolish.

Whelp, all thoughts and ideas about any relationships with characters went flying flaming out the window until we get more character development. Hoooooooooo boy, here comes the angst train.
Also, second panel. Scares the SHIT out of me.

bravo on the body position in the last pannel. also the face in the first ant third pannels show alot of fear-emotion.
alhough there is in my mind a bit of a continuity error between the third and final pannel. IE; she was crying and in the final pannel there are not tears.
other then that minor detail its yet another great page. (you should seriously try and get this series published. if you can get past all of that legal cr*p first)

Oh not good... Silver can't escape his destiny now. I can't begin to imagine what Silver will do when he finds out... I sure hope poor Vennie isn't killed off for good, you barely even got to flesh out her story!
On second thought, forget Silver, wat will Sonic, Shadow, and BLAZE do when they find out? Sonic's just a ghost, but still... he and Shadow would probably go downright Dark-state... and blaze... that doesn't bear thinking about. Although it would probably scare her more to see Silver when he goes berzerk.
Yo metal? Whatever you do... do not take aim at blaze or Silver will do unspeakable things too you!

Maybe for a second, but I think a depression is more accurate. If he went emo wouldn't he cut himself and stuff first? I can't see Silver doing that, but depression, shock, and then flying into a rage worthy of Knuckles or Blaze is very plausible.
On another note, I have to ask, where'd Nichole go? I saw NICHOLE a few pages back, and she's an AI, not a Metal Sonic. How many secret projects does Silver's older sister (I can't remember her name) HAVE!?

...I think she is dead, considering what happened in the Arabian Nights Arc. Anyways, I have a feeling there's more going on than you're letting on, Evan. My theory, whatever that's worth, is that the system restoration part was Nichole trying to take control, but she failed and Metal Sonic's old persona took over. As we all know, Metal Sonic's purpose is to hunt down and replace Sonic.
Which Metal Sonic is this? The one from the Sonic CD movie? I also foresee the return, eventually, of Air Gear.

Once you get a better look at him, you'll be able to see that his Metal is closer to the Sonic OVA version. Though the movie's non-canon, I'm going to be exploring the relationship between Sonic and Metal more.
As for which Metal this is in the game's canon, it's probably the one from Sonic CD (if you assume he didn't die after the race), or the one that was seen in storage in Eggy's base in Sonic Adventure. I'm assuming that the Metal in Sonic Heroes is a different model entirely and the old one is just gathering dust somewhere (when he's not figure skating in the Olympics, of course!).

hers a quick BIO on metal for you, as you know, meta was origanaly created by the fat man (thats what I call eggman) and was programed with the infomation on the origenal sonic, it whent to the point where metal belived he was the origenal and sonic was the fake (sonic and shadow faker referans) and will do anything to stop sonic, hes ether with the fat man or agenst him, ether why hes a beter villain then the fat man

I think one of the writers for the comic explained that There were only a few completely different Metal Sonic's. The first, Silver Sonic. The second, Mecha Sonic, and the third, Hyper Metal Sonic.
They said the ones afterwards were all Hyper Metal Sonic being redesigned. Take Heroes for example. At the end, when you defeat Metal Overlord, he reverts into the OVA Metal Sonic.

From what I can tell, Metal somehow got reawoken and actually managed to upgrade himself, after learning via artificial intelligence.
It's not outright stated, but the way he acts, it sounds like he went rogue himself and tried to usurp Eggman who he saw as a joke.
