This is a good page, but if I were drawing this, I'd have Silver's ears drooped downward to show his sorrow. But that's just me.
I love how Blaze's dad looks so much like Big; it gives you a sense that all cats in Sonic's world have that basic design.

It's funny, I keep imagining the voices of the characters, new and old, saying the words clearly in my mind. Makes me want to me record a dramatic reading of the entire series thus far. XD

nice work on the frames. angles are very well chosen. the over the sholder, closeup, mid shot and two shot give the conversation a more realistic and emotional value.
also the transition into silvers break in the last three panels has feeling to it. the last frame possibly showing silvers saddness with the dulled colours and the rain.
also the lighting transition is both subtle and smooth.
as usual a very good page. very well drawn and the emotion you have put forward is apparent and plot relevent.

Average, how many layers do you use before blending them?

It can vary. I think this page had around 50-something layers, maybe it hit 60. But this was an easy page. The previous one had well over 80. (I'm not counting the text layers, just the art)
