Description
This is my idea for a Sonic game. (that's right, I'm lookin' at you, SEGA).It's meant to be in the "storybook" sub-series, like "Sonic and the Secret Rings", and "Sonic and the Black Knight", and this time Sonic gets sucked into the world of the Greek Myths.
Sonic is accompanied by Iris, (Shahra), Goddess of Rainbows and messenger to the higher Gods. She gives him the wings off of Hermes' sandals, giving him the power of flight to aid in his quest to collect the Seven Pestilences, which the foolish and greedy King Midas (Eggman) accidentally released from Pandora's Box.
How does Sonic collect the Pestilences? Well, each one has infected the hero of a different myth, putting those characters and their stories in grave danger.
I haven't figured out all the details, but I think Sonic will have to:
-Save Icarus (Tails) from falling to his death into the ocean, thus collecting the pestilence of Pride.
-Helping Hercules (Knuckles) finish his Twelve Labors, and collecting Sloth.
-Beating the crap out of Achilles (Shadow) and collecting Wrath. (A la Perfect Chaos)
I haven't thought of the rest yet. Rouge would probably be Lust, Vector'd be Greed, Amy-- Envy, (And Eggman Gluttony). I just can't think of the characters they'd play. ('cept Eggy).
Also, when Sonic recaptures a pestilence, it's corresponding Virtue is freed, fixing the Myth that has been damaged.

Dude! This is such a great idea! Ya know, Sega needs to start looking at fans like you for ideas like this. This is actually a really good idea, you should write them about it or something (well, if you want to) and see if they'll consider this. I'd love playing a Sonic game that revolves around one of the things I love them most. Great idea!

What if Midas (Eggman) tricks Shadow into thinking that Sonic has released the pestilences, and in order to get him back to normal, he tells him that he has to defeat sonic and things would go back to normal.
Maybe that can be why Sonic has to kick Shad's ass XD
Or maybe since Eggy released the pestilences, he can control some of the characters (this includes the monsters in the game stages) into doing his bidding, depending on how infected they are by the pestilences (AKA, Rouge/Shadow), and he forces both of them to attack Sonic since Eggman thinks sonic's
A) A big threat to his kingdom that was sent by the gods because of his selfishness
B) looks like one of his enemies that his men had defeated once before, and he believes sonic is its reincarnation. (For more info, once sonic hears about this he's shocked to know this, and he now knows the reason being for the king's creatures wanting to attack him was because he looked like this enemy. But he later learns that this so-called 'enemy' was actually a hero who almost defeated an evil king, but he died in the battle. But before he died, he sealed Midas's power away by using the last of his strength to turn him into a human. This may give a reason why Eggy foolishly opened the box, like as if he thought its power was going to be a way to turn him back into his old self.)
or C) Sonic's the main key to unleashing an entity that Midas thought he could use to conquer the world, since he probably thinks that ruling his city isn't good enough for him
Combine them, use one, mix them around, your choice.
Oh yeah, one more thing, Maybe each character can show some type of sign that they're infected by the pestilence so Sonic can tell who's greatly/or just simply infected by it and who's not. Like, for example, they can have some type of glowing symbol on their forehead or chest or whatever.
You should seriously send this to SEGA, this sounds like an awesome idea!!

This is a great idea. Maybe Sega will listen and make a game out of it. We can hope. Why not make Vector Prometheus? In his myth, his kindness toward man gives fire to them and many other things. If he became greedy in his myth, it would cause all kinds of havoc. ([link] *grins*) Also, would you mind if I tried doing some character designs, and posting them if they're any good?

This would be an amazing idea, and certainly better then some of the crap SEGA has thrown at us as of late. (Sorry, I'm still bitter from Sonic the Hedgehog [2006])

This would be a great idea! I've always been fascinated by myths, and I had read the arabian nights after playing sonic and the secret rings because I was so curious. Pandora's box is something I want to just look up, and learn about it. If you turn greek story into something, I'll be carasmatic to see it!

For a prolouge, sonic finds a box, and the a voice tell him not to open it, and then...he knocks it over, releasing all Seven Pestilences, which SOnic must now colect in oreder to save the world

Cool game idea. There should be Olimpic stile minigames in 2 player mode, you know, because the Greeks invented the Olimpics, granted it was a bit different from our moddern version.

I watch my brother play the game called God of War (have you heard of it??) but I refuse to play it myself. There's too much blood in it. x___x I like a LITTLE bit of blood in games, but not a whole lot. I freeze up and wana gag when I see tons of blood.

Oh yeah, I remember now! But I don't think Shade could play Hades, seeing as its clearly stated that Hades is male, (being Zues' brother and all) and the reason he stole Persephone in the first place was to be his wife... I was thinking maybe Amy could play someone like Ariadne, or maybe Atalanta. (though I really want Blaze for that one).
Or just Change Hades to somebody else... Maybe Lord Ix would fit, or Chaos.
But then who could Shade play? She's so awesome, she'd make a good Athene... but I'm trying not to cast too many characters as Gods...

Not a bad idea for a Sonic game, Sonic looks cool with those wings on his shoe. I think that it sounds interesting, nice job on the picture

I had an idea that one of the girls could be Atlanta. They may have to leave out the beheading of the losers after the race. I think Blaze would be suited for Atlanta but Amy or Rouge could work as well.
I'm not sure what the pestilence for this story would be though...
