Ask Willow here:Thank you Ells for the question~! Heh, Adriel is REALLY gonna get it this time. Hope you enjoy all the expressions~
Here it is for those who find the chopped up nature of the question too difficult to understand:
As for why Willow is so hurt, let's just say that she's got "mommy issues"; seeing as one "mommy" tried to kill her, whilst the other practically ignored her pleas for aid. She's got a very strained relationship with both goddesses, to say the least.
Not to mention that Adriel basically told her to go back to her race...which have been killed off in a "Great Cleansing", save for one person. Lydi. Willow and Lydi are the only survivors of the once-feared Devourer race. Who killed them off? Well now, why don't you just ask, hm?
So combine racism, genocide, and painful reminders of her strained relationship back "home", and you have a VERY angry Willow.

Anyways, I tried to implement different art techniques. The colors her lineart is shifting into at the beginning sync up with her emotions.
Blue means she's still ok.
Purple means her patience is getting tested and her feelings are getting hurt.
Red...well, red is RAGE.

Adriel let out a loud, exasperated sigh. He had not exactly had a GREAT DAY after his drunken outburst at Willow's Q&A forum. No... he'd gotten his ass handed to him by a raging Willow and an equally pissed off Afiel, as a bunch of commenters he didn't even know cheered the two on. And his dear Ozzy hadn't even helped him! NOT FUN. But at least he'd been drunk enough to dull whatever pain they handed out to him.
In all honesty, now that he was sober he DID feel a little bad for what he said... as he ALWAYS did. All the stubborn things he did to upset Ozzy, and the 'shenanigans' that made little Sari cry (and got him incarcerated by Gavriil!)
In his defense, she DID cheat at shots!
His expression was a huffy stubborn one as he teleported right into Armaros' home - rudely without knocking, as per usual - and stood before Willow and Afiel, arms crossed. He narrowed his eyes and cleared his throat. "All right, FINE. I APOLOGIZE. But in my defense, you DID cheat at shots!"
His apology came across as more POUTY than anything, but he still felt it was good enough! And before the couple could say a single word, he immediately teleported away with a dismissive wave of his hand.
"That was... underwhelming." Afiel sighed. "But at the very least, he felt bad enough to ATTEMPT to apologize. It's a start."

Willow sighed as she nodded from her place on the couch, her expression dull. Yesterday she'd blown up like she never believed possible. Perhaps it was as a result of thousands of centuries of neglect and personal issues coming to a head, maybe it was just because she was fed up with Adriel's SHIT...ether way, she'd given the angel HELL. And then had a massive cry afterwards out of shame for revealing via SCREAMING so many of her personal issues to not only the askers...but angelkind. Not to mention that she just felt miserable reflecting on all her problems. In the very least, she had Afiel. She would always have Afiel, and that notion at least brought a smile to her face.
"Yeah Af...it's a start.." She trailed off as a slight smile curled at the corner of her lips. "You were there with me though... At that shots competition? I didn't cheat. You know I didn't."

"Of course not. As a matter of fact..." He returned Willow's smile with a little one of his own. "According to Armaros, 'shots' isn't even a game - it's nothing more than a style of drinking. I'd suspect calling it a game is just an excuse for Adriel to hide his crippling alcoholism within the guise of competition... rather than face his demons head on. I pity him. Hopefully Osias can make some headway in cleaning him up."
Afiel's expression softened as he then wrapped her up in a hug. Earlier, Willow had inadvertently screamed out a LOT of sensitive information - information that passing strangers, angels or not, shouldn't have been privy to - in her raging assault on Adriel. He could feel the misery and shame within her still lingering. As he continued to cradle her in his arms, he cast his gaze out to the surrounding areas... various angels still flitted around pondering on Willow's issues, and gossiping about the fight. It's not every day that a brawl on a scale that massive broke out in HEAVEN, after all. And Willow... well, Willow didn't even like THINKING about her own issues, much less have a good quarter of heaven thinking about them for her. ...he knew the best thing for her would be to just disengage from the situation. Leave the area for a few days until the whole thing died down and the angels moved on to some other topic.
He leaned in and gave her a little lick on the cheek, his smile becoming a bit more sly. "I've an idea. How about we spend a few days away from all this? Some nice time alone on earth, just the two of us. We could travel around a vacation spot and pretend to be human tourists. I've always wanted to try 'haling a cab' and such."

Willow straightened up a tad at his proposition, a tiny blush briefly coloring her cheeks at his loving gesture before she - her eyes softening - nodded. She leaned forwards with a soft and wearied sigh as she licked him gently, wrapping her arms around his neck as she leaned forwards and nestled herself comfortably in his arms. "You know what, Af? That sounds..really, REALLY great."
She pulled back slightly with a saddened smile, "Maybe we could find ourselves some nice private beach, shell out money, and just relax for a good week or so..." She trailed off as her expression grew more self conscious, nervous at the idea of having to return to a whirlwind of GOSSIP about her. "...M-Maybe even a month?"
Her expression sunk even further as she grew more insecure, with her nervously beginning to gnaw on the edge of her thumb as her eyes shifted left and right. "Af..what...what am I going to do now? Everyone...by now practically every angel in Heaven knows how screwed up I am... They, they're going to judge me. Make fun of me..." Her gaze shifted downwards as she felt the tears coming, her next words coming out a barely audible whisper, "...See me for the pathetic and insecure mess of a being I truly am which I try so hard to hide..."
Indeed, her victory over Adriel had been a pyrrhic one, for now all of Heaven would surely think less of her. See themselves as greater than her. Use her example of a life as comparison for how lucky theirs was.

Afiel fell silent as he placed one hand upon Willow's cheek, wiping away a tear. The anxiety in his soul continued to grow at the heartbreaking image of his mate before him looking so lost and dejected! He knew how insecurity felt. Whether they really WERE judging him or not was irrelevant. Just the THOUGHT of everyone's attention bearing down on him, scrutinizing every little thing about him that made him different from the rest... it was nerve-racking. He liked putting a tight lid on the darkness within him, but after blowing up and tossing Adriel around a bit himself... well... it was plainly evident to everyone watching that he wasn't very good at keeping said darkness in check when his emotions ran high.
And a little part of him wanted to run away for a month or two as well.
But on the other hand... he was MORE worried for Willow's sake. After all, he'd practically made it a personal mission in his life to calm her insecurities and alleviate her fears. Running away would not be very healthy for either of them. Especially not for her.
He sighed and kissed the top of her head, nuzzling his face into her hair. "A brief respite to calm ourselves down will be nice, but withdrawing and hiding away for a month is doing more harm than good. You know this."
Once again, he cast his gaze out over heaven. Yes, a majority of the angels WERE gossiping about the fight, or discussing Willow's situation, none of it seemed outright MALICIOUS. The most malicious thing he could pick up were a few ophanim whining about Willow being stronger than they were, but really that was just par for the course for those guys. There was no 'poking fun' in her direction at all. Though Afiel suspected that in her current state, she wouldn't really believe anyone telling her otherwise. Insecurity breeded paranoia - he knew that from personal experience.
"None can judge in heaven but our Father. Even the ophanim, with their haughty gestures and spiteful talk, know this and never hold any judgements too deeply within their hearts. Let's go down to earth and relax until the talk dies down. When we return, I promise you not a single angel will have thought any less of you for it. In fact, some might even think MORE of you." He stood up and pulled her to her feet, cracking a smile. "That 'judgement' thing should extend to you to, shouldn't it? I'd say you were part of the family by now. You've got a 'Father-in-law', and... 'brethren-in-laws'."

Willow perked up just slightly from her woes at Afiel's reassurances, particularly the mentioning of "family". Family, a thing she always strived to find in seemingly every universe but her own. Whilst Willow had already been somewhat considering the ranks of heaven to be her "home away from home", she'd never truly acknowledged the lot as being TRULY there for her. Well, none save for Afiel, but that was because she was soulbound to him. No, Willow often felt as though it was just her against the world, with her making a mere handful of friends here and there. Friends she'd never expect would step in to save her life if it was so required of them, let alone actually want to go out of their way to HELP her main issues.
It was as though a light had been flicked on in the demi-goddess as Willow straightened up in Afiel's grip. Her eyes gained back just the faintest hints of that sparkling hope to them as she looked up at him pleadingly, wordlessly begging him to convince her that the angels here CARED about her. "Af...you...you really think so? I...I WANT to think so, but it seems as though I only manage to weird them out or aggravate them; sometimes intentionally, other times by accident. I..do you really think they see me as FAMILY? Do you really think I can TRUST them???" Her grip on him tightened as the tiniest curlings of a hopeful smile pulled at the corners of her lips.
Trust was yet another thing that Willow often had issues with regarding others. After Lydi's betrayal and her mothers'..."mistreatment" of her - trust had more or less become something Willow only reserved in her heart for Afiel, which she only truly placed in him thanks to the soulbond they shared, no less.

Therakiel hissed straight at Adriel, it is clear he did not appreciate the insults flung at Willow, his entire body glew a bright red, rage.
He held Willow close as possible while giving Adriel a death-glare, if Adriel were to step any closer, Therakiel'd instantly go on the offensive.
He watched as Adriel teleported away and gazed at where he was for a while.
