This piece was done for the Torg Eternity RPG. It is one of the most complicated pieces I've ever done and tested the limits of the medium and my understanding of perspective and lighting. It's based on a real street corner in Belém, Brazil, where the story takes place.

That 45degree shadow across the character is excellent. Pops the whole scene to a different level.

Thanks. Lighting isn't my strong suit, so I'm glad I was able to pull this one off. It really needed good, dramatic lighting to work.

As a total beginner, I am still befuddled by trying to draw a repeatable straight or curved line.
In DAZ, yes, its posing.
Light is a challenge for the advanced. I am still a primitive scratching the dirt with a stick.

Well, in all fairness... I used a ruler. Navigating the shadow line over her body in a realistic way, now that... That's a degree in art and 22 years experience. But just drawing a straight line? Yeah. Ruler.

Nobody can draw a straight line freehand. There's nothing wrong with using tools to help you make things look right. That's why the tools exist.
